Порой так не хочется верить жестокой реальности календаря и неумолимо сменяющим друг друга датам... Перелистывая ежедневно его страницы, мы приближаемся к новому сезону – зиме. А как хотелось бы остановить это золотое мгновение.. осень с её пусть уже редкими, но ещё томными, прикосновениями солнечных лучиков и пёстрым ковром осыпавшихся с деревьев листьев! К сожалению, становящиеся всё более частыми утренние заморозки и наши укутанные в широкие тёплые шарфы носы, не оставляют нам и доли надежды на продление этого чудесного времени года. Да и дизайнеры не упускают случая напомнить, что пора бы уже задуматься и над нашим зимним гардеробом!

Tim Hamilton Spring/Summer 2009

Shown on a roof top in New York, Tim Hamilton presented his collection at Milk studios. My favorite colors dominated his collection; grey, black, and white. The fabrics were also light and silky, silks, cashmeres, and of course the staple cotton.

I have not updating since I have been paying close attention to fashion week, trying to view all the collections and memorize new designers. I'll start writing once I figure out which designers have good coolections... At this moment I am not impressed.

Gucci inspired by Russian Rock

Apparently Frida Giannini, who developed the fall/winter collection for Gucci, was inspired by Russian Rock. I am impressed with the mens and womens collections for Gucci. I used to think Gucci was done for after Tom Ford left. In fact they seem to be doing better. The velvets, leathers, and furs make up most of this collection and I can never get tired of fur and leather.

More than fantastic waffles

Belgian fashion designer Raf Simons' collection for Spring / Summer is quite minimalistic yet stands out. I personally think this collection is fantastic and entering the realm of unisex clothing. I am adoring the look of an over sized tunic with leggings that stop at mid-thigh. Simple, black, chic and memorizing.

Motevisningene vår/sommer 09 for menn er i full gang i Paris. Belgisk mote designer Raf Simons, for Vår / Sommer er minimalistisk men unik. Raf Simons kolleksjon er fantastiske og overdådige. Jeg elsker en stor tunic over sort små leggings. Simpel, unisex, sort, og chic = perfeksjon.

Street style shoes

I could never think that one of Paris' high fashion houses could bind with the Street style and do so harmoniously, yet not dilute the elegant and refined classic that is Lanvin.

Now behind the first jeans line, Capsule (created in cooperation with Acne Jeans and Lanvin in June [which will hit Barneys & Bergdorf in late November of this year]) we have an opportunity to indulge in stylish... Footwear!

These Hi Tops are made of Leather and suede and to resemble gym shoes. They soon will be out and for everyone to judge weather it is possible to have the best of both worlds, being stylish and comfortable.

DRKSDW Collection 2009

Looks like Rick Owens fans have something exciting to look forward this coming Spring/Summer. I have been a Rick Owens fan for some time now, his collections have always been wearable and pieces of art in their own right. This collection is no different! DRKSDW is quite different from the other collections as it is not all crisp linens, light fabrics, and light colors which is what usually dominates S/S. I honestly feel these clothes will be quite hard to pull off and you need a certain I don't give a crap yet I do, attitude to be able to wear them. Split washes, different dying techniques, and wrinkled fabrics combined, make me want to stay tuned in.

Viva Mexico

Talk about making me jealous, same age as me, 22 year old Nahúm Villasana from Baja California Mexico has the most brilliant line out. Architectural Clothes dubbed Mechanical Connection Vol. II. This motivates me to move mine to Spring in all honesty.

The details on these pieces make me want to send him all my money and just hold the items and carefully touch the different textures and pull at the carefully placed stripes of elastic.

Leave it to the Danes

I understand the concept of using darker colors in the fall/winter and lighter colors during the spring/summer, but more people must stop this tired routine. We are past the days of fashion faux pas and on a new frontier, where we should be able to experiment until we get something so marvelous, so fantastic that people will stop in their track and break their necks looking at how stunning your outfit is. (run on sentence)


Someone who is always willing to push the boundaries in mens and womens fashion is, Danish Designer Ann Hagen.

Scandinavians taking over

At the moment I am totally in love with Danish designer Barbara i Gongini | a-w 08-09. Its modern, black and white (how could one go wrong with that combo?), long, loose, simple yet forward. I cannot afford So I will be re-creating these looks on my own for a cheaper price tag. One of many downfalls of being poor.
